White Chickpeas with Fenugreek/ Chhole Methi


Ingredients:
Ghee 2 tbsp
Mustard Seeds ¼ ts
Cumin Seeds ¼ ts
Cinnamon Leaves 2
Dry Red Chilli 2
Onion chopped 1
Ginger-Garlic-Chilli Paste 1 tbsp
Tamato chopped 1
Fresh Fenugreek Leaves chopped 1 cup
Chhole Masala 1 tbsp
Tamarind Pulp 1 ts
Jaggery ½ ts
White Chickpeas boiled 1 cup
Onion Rings for garnishing
Method:
Heat Ghee in a pan on low flame. Add Mustard Seeds, Cumin Seeds, Cinnamon Leaves and Dry Red Chilli. When spluttered, add chopped Onion, Ginger-Garlic-Chilli Paste and chopped Tomato. Mix well. Add Tamarind Pulp and Jaggery. Mix well. Add boiled White Chickpeas, chopped Fresh Fenugreek Leaves and Chhole Masala. Mix well. Add little water. Cover the pan with lid. Cook for 8-10 minutes on medium flame. Leave it covered for approx 5 minutes after removing from flame.

Garnish with Onion Rigns.

Serve Hot with spiced puri .

or you can serve Chapatti or Naan of choice or Tandoori Roti or Puri.
