Rose Laddu

 

Prep.15 min., Cooking time 5 min., Yield 6 Laddu

Ingredients:

Almond                                    250 gm

Sugar Powder                         ¼ cup

Rose Petal Jam (Gulkand)      1 tbsp

Cardamom powder                 Pinch

Rose Syrup                             ½ tbsp

Fresh Rose Petals                  of 1 Rose

Method:

Wrap Fresh Rose Petals in a muslin cloth. Microwave it for 1 minute to dry the Petals. Keep a side to use later for coating.

 

Soak Almond for at least 1 hour. Then remove the skin of Almond. Take approx 100 gm Almond and make flakes. Roast these Almond Flakes on a non-stick pan on low flame. Roast to light brownish. Take care not to burn blackish.

 

Take remaining Almond in a wet blending jar of your mixer. Add little water. Crush it to paste.

 

Remove Almond paste in a bowl. Add roasted Almond Flakes, Sugar Powder, Rose Petal Jam, Cardamom Powder and Rose Syrup. Mix very well.

 

Prepare balls (Laddu) of the size of your choice from prepared Almond mixture.

 

Coat all balls (Laddu) with  Dried Rose Petals.

 

Serve Fresh or Refrigerated.
