Kulthi Makkhani – Buttery Horse Gram

Prep.20 min., Cooking time 10 min., for 4 Persons


Horse Gram boiled                                          1 cup

Butter to fry                                                     1 tbsp

Oil                                                                    1 tbsp

Asafoetida Powder                                          Pinch

Ginger-Garlic-Chilli Paste                               1 tbsp

Oinion  small chopped                                     1

Tomato small chopped                                    2

Salt to taste

Garam Masala                                    1 ts

Red Chilli Powder                                           1 tbsp

Turmeric Powder                                             1 ts

Coriander-Cumin Powder                               1 ts

Kitchenking Masala                                         1 ts

Cream                                                             1 tbsp

Butter to garnish                                              1 ts

Fresh Coriander Leaves                                 1 tbsp


Heat Oil and Butter in a pan on medium flame. Add Asafoetida Powder, Gignger-Garlic-Chilli Paste and Onion. When onion becomes soft, add Tomato and cook well. Add Salt, Garam Masala, Red Chilli Powder, Turmeric Powder, Coriander-Cumin Powder, Kitchenking Masala and Salt. Mix well. Add boiled Horse Gram and Cream. Stir and cook for 2-3 minutes.


Garnish with Butter and Fresh Coriander Leaves.


Serve Hot with Rice.
