Dungri Muthiya – Baby Onion with Dumpling

Prep.10 min., Cooking time 15 min., for 4 Persons

Ingredient:

For Fist / Dumpling (Muthiya):

Whole Wheat Flour                             ½ cup

Gram Flour                                          1 cup

Fresh Coriander Leaves                     ½ cup

Turmeric Powder                                 ½ ts

Red Chilli Powder                               1 ts

Salt to taste

Sugar                                                  1 ts

Oil                                                        1 tbsp

Soda-bi-Carb                                       Pinch

Lemon                                                 ½

For Curry:

Oil                                                        1 tbsp

Mustard Seeds                                    1 ts

Cumin Seeds                                       ½ ts

Asafoetida Powder                              Pinch

Garlic Masala (Havej)                         1 tbsp

Baby Onion                                         10

Turmeric Powder                                 ½ ts

Red Chilli Powder                               1 ts

Coriander-Cumin Powder                    1 ts

Salt to taste

Fresh Coriander Leaves

Curd                                                    ½ cup

Peanuts Powder

Method:

Mix Whole Wheat Flour, Gram Flour, Fresh Coriander Leaves, Turmeric Powder, Red Chilli Powder, Salt, Sugar, Oil, Soda-bi-Carb, Lemon Juice. Add little water and prepare dough.

 

Prepare number of small balls from dough, Then deep fry all.

 

Heat oil in a pan. Add Mustards Seeds, Cumin-Seeds, Asafoetida Powder. When ready, add Baby Onion, Garlic Masala, Turmeric Powder, Red Chilli Powder, Coriander-Cumin Powder, Salt and cook for 5-7 minutes on low medium flame mixing slowly and turning over the stuff occasionally. Add Curd and mix well. Add Peanuts Powder and mix well. Cook for 1-2 minutes only. Add all fried balls, cook for 2-3 minutes only while mixing and turning over the stuff occasionally.

 

Sprinkle Fresh Coriander Leaves and little Peanuts Powder to decorate the serving.

 

Enjoy tickling taste of Onion to kill the Heat of Hot Summer.
