Lauki Faluda – Bottle Gourd Faluda

Prep.10 min., Cooking time 20 min., Qty. 2 Glasses


Bottle Gourd grated                             100 gm

Ghee                                                   1 ts

Milk                                                      2 cup

Vetiver Syrup (Khus Syrup)                2 tbsp

Basil  Seeds / Faluda Seeds                1 tbsp


Faluda Noodles                                   1 tbsp

Mixed Fruit Jelly                                  1 tbsp

Ice Cream Plain Vanilla                       2 tbsp

Dry Furits pieces mixed                      1 tbsp


Heat Ghee in a pan. Add grated Bottle Gourd and pan fry it. Add Milk and let it boil on low-medium flame for approx 15-20 minutes. Stir occasionally while boiling. When Milk becomes little thick, remove the pan from the flame and leave it to cool down. When it cools down, add Vetiver Syrup, mix well and keep in refrigerator for approx 30 minutes.


Take a serving glass. Put Basil Seeds in a serving glass. Then add Faluda Noodles in the glass. Then add Mixed Fruit Jelly. Fill the glass with prepared refrigerated Milk. Then put a scoopful Ice Cream on the top.


Garnish with Dry Fruits pieces.


Serve Cold.
