Refined White Wheat Flour (Maida) 1 cup
Oil 2 tbsp
Ghee 1 tbsp
Oil 1 tbsp
Ginger-Chilli Paste 1 tbsp
Fig Paste of 10 pcs of Fig
Date Paste of 1p Date
Red Chilli Powder 1 tbsp
Garam Masala 1 tbsp
Tamarind Paste 1 tbsp
Jaggery 1 ts
Roasted Chickpeas Powder ½ cup
Cashew nuts small pieces 2 tbsp
Oil to Deep Fry
Mix all ingredients for dough and knead dough.
Heat oil in a pan. Add Ginger-Chilli Paste. Add Fig Paste, Date Paste, Red Chilli Powder, Garam Masala, Tamarind Paste, Jaggery and mix well. Add Cashew Nuts pieces and mix well. Remove the pan from flame. Mix Roasted Chickpeas Powder.
Roll number of small flat breads (Puri) from dough. Put 1-2 tbsp of stuffing in the middle of flat bread. Stick border to give Gujiya shape. Also, you can use Gujiya Moulds. Repeat to mould all Gujiya.
Deep fry all Gujiya to light brownish.
Serve with Date-Tamarind Chutney or Ketchup.
